Es pensa que entre el 5% i el 20% de la poblaci\u00f3 n&#8217;\u00e9s afectada en algun moment de la vida. \u00c9s m\u00e9s freq\u00fcent en les dones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"880\" height=\"587\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mgc.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/image-880x587.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-36729\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.mgc.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/image-880x587.jpeg 880w, https:\/\/www.mgc.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/image-440x293.jpeg 440w, https:\/\/www.mgc.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/image-768x512.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/www.mgc.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/image-scaled.jpeg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 880px) 100vw, 880px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>S&#8217;estima que gaireb\u00e9 el 6% dels majors de 60 anys pateixen la malaltia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Simptomes_de_la_depressio\"><\/span>S\u00edmptomes de la depressi\u00f3<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>En car\u00e0cter general, els s\u00edmptomes de la depressi\u00f3 s\u00f3n:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Tristor<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Falta d&#8217;inter\u00e8s per coses que abans proporcionaven satisfacci\u00f3<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Trastorns de la gana, que poden ser per falta d&#8217;apetit o per tenir m\u00e9s gana del que \u00e9s habitual<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Trastorns del son<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cansament<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mgc.es\/ca\/blog\/la-manca-dinteres-pel-sexe\/\">Disminuci\u00f3 del desig sexual<\/a> (l\u00edbido)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sentiments d&#8217;inutilitat o desesperan\u00e7a<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sentiments de culpa o vergonya<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pensaments d&#8217;autolesi\u00f3, incloent pensaments su\u00efcides<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>En les persones grans, els <a href=\"https:\/\/www.helpguide.org\/es\/problemas-del-envejecimiento\/depresion-en-adultos-mayores-senales-sintomas-y-tratamiento\">s\u00edmptomes<\/a> s\u00f3n menys recognoscibles que en els adults de, posem per cas, menys de 65 anys. Per aix\u00f2 \u00e9s fonamental estar atent a qualsevol canvi de comportament en els nostres grans. Haur\u00edem de prestar atenci\u00f3 a s\u00edmptomes com:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Avorriment o apatia, que inclou indifer\u00e8ncia pel seu entorn<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Nerviosisme i irritabilitat: estats d&#8217;inquietud, de tensi\u00f3 o canvis d&#8217;humor inusuals<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Inseguretat i baixa autoestima: sentir-se in\u00fatil, autorecriminacions, sensaci\u00f3 de frac\u00e0s<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mgc.es\/ca\/blog\/son-i-depressio-linsomni-pot-afectar-la-salut-mental\/\">Alteracions del son<\/a> i de la gana<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Queixes f\u00edsiques recurrents: dolors sense causa m\u00e8dica aparent<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pors irracionals, deliris. Es poden confondre amb deteriorament cognitiu<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fatiga an\u00f2mala, p\u00e8rdua d&#8217;energia<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Problemes per concentrar-se, problemes de mem\u00f2ria, incapacitat de prendre decisions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Si aquests s\u00edmptomes es mantenen en el temps s\u00f3n senyals inequ\u00edvoques d&#8217;un estat depressiu o pre-depressiu, i requereixen atenci\u00f3 m\u00e8dica.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Factors_de_risc_de_patir_depressio\"><\/span>Factors de risc de patir depressi\u00f3<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Hi ha factors predisposants a la depressi\u00f3, com els seg\u00fcents:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Ser dona. La depressi\u00f3 \u00e9s m\u00e9s freq\u00fcent entre elles<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Patir deteriorament cognitiu o trastorns discapacitants (p\u00e8rdua de visi\u00f3, artrosi, seq\u00fceles d&#8217;un ictus)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Patir canvis socials sobtats: vidu\u00eftat, canvis de domicili, p\u00e8rdua d&#8217;independ\u00e8ncia<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sentiments de soledat o a\u00efllament social<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Personalitat perfeccionista o amb un nivell alt d&#8217;exig\u00e8ncia<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dificultats econ\u00f2miques<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Falta de suport familiar<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Consum d&#8217;alcohol, o determinats medicaments<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Un cop coneguts els s\u00edmptomes i els factors de risc, ens centrarem en el t\u00edtol de l&#8217;article:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Com_prevenir_la_depressio_en_la_Tercera_Edat\"><\/span>Com prevenir la depressi\u00f3 en la Tercera Edat<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Avui dia, la soledat \u00e9s un dels problemes m\u00e9s importants dels grans. S&#8217;estima que m\u00e9s de 850.000 persones de m\u00e9s de 80 anys viuen soles, i que tres milions de persones se senten soles. Segons un <a href=\"https:\/\/www2.cruzroja.es\/web\/ahora\/-\/hasta-un-44-de-la-poblacion-experimenta-soledad-no-deseada-en-espana\">informe<\/a> de la Creu Roja, fins a un 44% de la poblaci\u00f3 t\u00e9 aquest sentiment a Espanya.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A efectes de prevenci\u00f3, \u00e9s necessari:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Suport familiar. Evitar que l&#8217;anci\u00e0 estigui sol, escoltar-lo, mantenir un contacte real i sincer. No menysprear mai els seus sentiments amb frases com &#8220;no tens per qu\u00e8 preocupar-te per aix\u00f2&#8221;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Seguir una vida social activa en el possible: trobades amb familiars i amics, inclusi\u00f3 en associacions i tallers de la comunitat<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Activitats significatives: ocupacions adaptades als seus gustos (des de manualitats fins a cures de l&#8217;hort)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fer exercici a l&#8217;aire lliure, en funci\u00f3 de les seves possibilitats i sense for\u00e7ar<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Una alimentaci\u00f3 correcta. Nom\u00e9s un <a href=\"https:\/\/www.elsevier.es\/es-revista-atencion-primaria-27-articulo-calidad-dieta-mayores-65-anos-S021265672030007X\">8,2%<\/a> dels majors de 65 anys segueix una dieta sana i equilibrada<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>S&#8217;ha d&#8217;estimular cognitivament el pacient: que faci exercicis de mem\u00f2ria, de lectura, que aprengui a tocar un instrument o un altre idioma<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>No dubtar en buscar suport professional quan es necessiti<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Quan_buscar_ajuda_professional\"><\/span>Quan buscar ajuda professional<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00c9s ben sabut que \u00e9s millor prevenir que curar, per\u00f2 no sempre es pot evitar la malaltia.
