Tot i que permetia de veure de manera for\u00e7a limitada les parts toves del cos, el gran avantatge que oferia era l\u2019obtenci\u00f3 d\u2019imatges anat\u00f2miques estructurals, principalment de l\u2019esquelet. Les tecnologies basades en camps magn\u00e8tics o ultrasons encara van multiplicar les possibilitats diagn\u00f2stiques dels <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nibib.nih.gov\/espanol\/temas-cientificos\/rayos-x\">raigs X<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Avui dia, gr\u00e0cies a l\u2019aparici\u00f3 de la medicina nuclear i de la imatge molecular, podem observar com funciona el cos i tenir informaci\u00f3 detallada sobre les c\u00e8l\u00b7lules i les mol\u00e8cules. Aix\u00f2 comporta avantatges importants, que van de la detecci\u00f3 preco\u00e7 de malalties fins a noves t\u00e8cniques terap\u00e8utiques.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Com_funciona\"><\/span><strong>Com funciona<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>B\u00e0sicament, tant els raigs X com els camps magn\u00e8tics i els ultrasons s\u00f3n fonts d\u2019energia externa a qu\u00e8 se sotmeten les parts del cos estudiades. Difereixen en ess\u00e8ncia de la <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foronuclear.org\/descubre-la-energia-nuclear\/preguntas-y-respuestas\/sobre-aplicaciones-de-la-tecnologia-nuclear\/como-funciona-la-medicina-nuclear\/\">medicina nuclear<\/a> pel fet que les diferents fonts d\u2019energia s\u2019introdueixen a l\u2019organisme i s\u2019incorporen a les parts que es volen estudiar, tant si s\u00f3n un teixit, un \u00f2rgan com un proc\u00e9s molecular. L\u2019emissi\u00f3 d\u2019energia provinent de l\u2019interior de l\u2019organisme, en forma de fotons (part\u00edcules elementals de llum) o de positrons (part\u00edcules elementals amb c\u00e0rrega positiva), es detecta amb un dispositiu extern (c\u00e0mera D-SPECT, de PET o gammac\u00e0mera) que crea una imatge \u00f2ptima per fer un estudi detallat de l\u2019\u00f2rgan o del proc\u00e9s en q\u00fcesti\u00f3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En aquest estudi els radi\u00f2legs introdueixen al cos del pacient una quantitat m\u00ednima de la subst\u00e0ncia radioactiva adequada (el marcador o radiof\u00e0rmac). La classe de subst\u00e0ncia es determina segons la finalitat de l\u2019estudi. La subst\u00e0ncia s\u2019incorpora a l\u2019\u00f2rgan analitzat i emet una radiaci\u00f3 que capta un detector per convertir-la en imatges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Quins_avantatges_te\"><\/span><strong>Quins avantatges t\u00e9<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>En primer lloc, hem d\u2019aclarir una cosa que d\u2019entrada espanta els pacients: la introducci\u00f3 de material radioactiu a l\u2019organisme. Cal dir que la quantitat de radiaci\u00f3 rebuda \u00e9s m\u00ednima i que, fins i tot, \u00e9s inferior a la d\u2019una radiografia. A m\u00e9s a m\u00e9s, la subst\u00e0ncia s\u2019elimina al cap d\u2019uns dies, b\u00e9 amb l\u2019orina o b\u00e9 amb la femta. Per tant, no \u00e9s perillosa i el pacient no t\u00e9 sin\u00f3 mol\u00e8sties insignificants. La medicina nuclear ofereix molts avantatges, comen\u00e7ant per la detecci\u00f3 preco\u00e7 d\u2019un c\u00e0ncer. Les t\u00e8cniques que inclou s\u00f3n diverses:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/medlineplus.gov\/spanish\/ency\/article\/003833.htm\">Gammagrafia \u00f2ssia<\/a>, per detectar un c\u00e0ncer en algun os molt abans que amb una radiografia convencional.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.radiologyinfo.org\/es\/info\/thyroiduptake\">Gammagrafia tiroidal<\/a>, quan el marcador \u00e9s el iode radioactiu, que s\u2019acumula a la gl\u00e0ndula tiroide i permet de trobar-hi tumors.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/medlineplus.gov\/spanish\/ency\/article\/003824.htm\">Gammagrafia amb gal\u00b7li<\/a>, que es fa servir per explorar el cos sencer i identificar-hi zones d\u2019infecci\u00f3, inflamaci\u00f3 o tumorals.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.snmmi.org\/AboutSNMMI\/Content.aspx?ItemNumber=15646\">PET<\/a>, la sigla en angl\u00e8s de tomografia per emissi\u00f3 de positrons. Mesura la funci\u00f3 fisiol\u00f2gica de l\u2019organisme a partir de l\u2019an\u00e0lisi del flux sanguini, del metabolisme o dels neurotransmissors (les subst\u00e0ncies que permeten la comunicaci\u00f3 a les c\u00e8l\u00b7lules del sistema nervi\u00f3s). El material radioactiu injectat (una forma de glucosa) s\u2019acumula en gran part a les c\u00e8l\u00b7lules canceroses, i amb aix\u00f2 \u00e9s possible d\u2019escatir si el tumor \u00e9s maligne. Altres aplicacions de la PET inclou l\u2019estudi del flux sanguini i el consum d\u2019oxigen a les diferents parts del cervell, cosa que facilita l\u2019estudi de dem\u00e8ncies, d\u2019accidents cerebrovasculars o de tumors.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/grupoctscanner.com\/pet-ct\/\">PET\/TC<\/a>. \u00c9s la combinaci\u00f3 d\u2019una PET i una TAC (tomografia axial computada), que, a banda dels avantatg\u00e9s de la PET, mostra amb m\u00e9s detall les \u00e0rees estudiades i aix\u00f2 facilita encara m\u00e9s la localitzaci\u00f3 del tumor.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.texasheart.org\/heart-health\/heart-information-center\/topics\/ventriculografia-isotopica\/\">Ventriculografia nuclear<\/a>. \u00c9s una prova cardiol\u00f2gica que permet d\u2019estudiar les cambres del cor (aur\u00edcules i ventricles).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Hi ha una aplicaci\u00f3 m\u00e9s avan\u00e7ada que consisteix a introduir dins l\u2019organisme una classe d\u2019anticossos anomenats <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mayoclinic.org\/es\/diseases-conditions\/cancer\/in-depth\/monoclonal-antibody\/art-20047808\">anticossos monoclonals<\/a>. Aquests anticossos s\u2019han dissenyat per adherir-se a la superf\u00edcie de les c\u00e8l\u00b7lules canceroses. Si explorem aquestes zones amb l\u2019instrumental adequat, hi podrem identificar tumors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Els cient\u00edfics malden per millorar de manera continuada els marcadors actuals i n\u2019estudien sistem\u00e0ticament de nous, no \u00fanicament per localitzar amb precisi\u00f3 els c\u00e0ncers sin\u00f3 tamb\u00e9 per trobar-hi tractaments nous.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Preparacio_per_a_un_estudi_de_medicina_nuclear\"><\/span><strong>Preparaci\u00f3 per a un estudi de medicina nuclear<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>L\u00f2gicament dep\u00e8n de la mena d\u2019estudi a qu\u00e8 s\u2019hagin de sotmetre els pacients. N\u2019hi ha que s\u2019hauran d\u2019estar en dej\u00fa un cert temps abans; d\u2019altres, en canvi, s\u2019hauran de prendre un laxant o, fins i tot, un \u00e8nema.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El pacient ha d\u2019informar el metge de tots els medicaments que pren (se li pot demanar que en suprimeixi algun abans de l\u2019estudi). Tamb\u00e9 ha de dir al metge si t\u00e9 cap al\u00b7l\u00e8rgia o si els anteriors estudis de medicina nuclear li han produ\u00eft cap reacci\u00f3. Les reaccions dels pacients als marcadors s\u00f3n poc freq\u00fcents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En general el pacient s\u2019ha d\u2019estar imm\u00f2bil durant l\u2019examen, mentre l\u2019esc\u00e0ner (que \u00e9s, al capdavall, una esp\u00e8cie de t\u00fanel amb una profunditat inferior a un metre) es mou endavant i endarrere per cobrir la totalitat de l\u2019\u00e0rea que es vol explorar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Durada_de_lestudi\"><\/span><strong>Durada de l\u2019estudi<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>No tots els estudis tenen una durada id\u00e8ntica, per\u00f2 normalment no superen l\u2019hora.
