Ara b\u00e9, la pregunta \u00abquanta aigua hem de beure al dia?\u00bb ha suscitat molta pol\u00e8mica. Se n&#8217;han beure diversos litres? Un parell? El caf\u00e8 o un refresc compten com a aigua? Hi ha molts de dubtes que mirarem d&#8217;aclarir, ara que arriba de manera imminent l&#8217;estiu i la xafogor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Que_fa_laigua_al_teu_cos\"><\/span><strong>Qu\u00e8 fa l&#8217;aigua al teu cos<\/strong><strong><\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Sabies que el cos es compon de prop d&#8217;un 50 % a un 60 % d&#8217;aigua? Si peses 60 quilos, tens dins teu m\u00e9s de 30 litres d&#8217;aigua. Tots els \u00f2rgans, teixits i c\u00e8l\u00b7lules contenen aigua: fins i tot els ossos. \u00c9s essencial per a la vida i cal beure&#8217;n per sobreviure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L&#8217;aigua \u00e9s responsable de molts processos en el teu cos:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>\u00c9s una mena de material de construcci\u00f3 per a les c\u00e8l\u00b7lules, teixits i \u00f2rgans. El cervell \u00e9s aigua en un 75 %.<\/li><li>Neteja les impureses del cos: l&#8217;orina i la femta contenen aigua.<\/li><li>Transporta oxigen i altres nutrients a tot el cos.<\/li><li>Mant\u00e9 la pressi\u00f3 arterial.<\/li><li>Regula la temperatura del cos.<\/li><li>Mant\u00e9 les mucoses del cos, com ara les vies a\u00e8ries i les genives, convenientment hidratades.<\/li><li>Forma els fluids corporals, com la saliva i els sucs g\u00e0strics.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Lequilibri_dels_fluids_corporals\"><\/span><strong>L&#8217;equilibri dels fluids corporals<\/strong><strong><\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Al cos li agrada l&#8217;home\u00f2stasi, cosa que significa que tot mant\u00e9 un equilibri per rendir al m\u00e0xim, i aquest proc\u00e9s es duu a terme mitjan\u00e7ant els recursos de regulaci\u00f3 oportuns. L&#8217;equilibri dels fluids corporals \u00e9s una part vital de tot plegat, i aquests mecanismes els regulen amb molta precisi\u00f3. La quantitat d&#8217;aigua al cos varia en un percentatge molt lleu d&#8217;un dia per l&#8217;altre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Aportaci\u00f3 d&#8217;aigua<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>L&#8217;aigua ens arriba al cos de tres maneres diferents:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" type=\"1\"><li>El metabolisme mateix n&#8217;aporta una petita quantitat.<\/li><li>Bona part de l&#8217;aigua l&#8217;obtenim dels l\u00edquids que bevem.<\/li><li>Aliments: prop del 20 % de l&#8217;aportaci\u00f3 di\u00e0ria d&#8217;aigua ens arriba pels aliments. La fruita, les verdures i les sopes contenen molta aigua; un cogombre, per exemple, \u00e9s compost d&#8217;aigua en un 95 %.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>L&#8217;aigua que ingerim amb els l\u00edquids o el menjar s&#8217;absorbeix molt r\u00e0pidament a l&#8217;est\u00f3mac i l&#8217;intest\u00ed. Al cap de tot just cinc minuts ja ha arribat al corrent sanguini. D&#8217;aqu\u00ed passa a l&#8217;instant als teixits i a les c\u00e8l\u00b7lules.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Exc\u00e9s d&#8217;aigua<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>El cos perd aigua de diverses maneres:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Respirant. Amb l&#8217;al\u00e8 es perd aigua; comprova-ho exhalant aire un dia de fred.<\/li><li>Suant. Tothom sua al llarg del dia, i encara m\u00e9s quan fem exercici.<\/li><li>Amb l&#8217;orina. Les quantitats normals s\u00f3n entre 500 i 2.500 cm<sup>3<\/sup> diaris.<\/li><li>Amb la femta. Una part relativament minsa (cap a 200 cm<sup>3<\/sup> diaris) s&#8217;expulsa evacuant. I haur\u00edem de demanar-nos com ho aconsegueix si la quantitat de l\u00edquids que bevem i eliminem \u00e9s molt variable d&#8217;un dia per l&#8217;altre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hi intervenen dos factors: un acte reflex i un \u00f2rgan, \u00e9s a dir la set i els ronyons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"La_set\"><\/span><strong>La set<\/strong><strong><\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Quan el cos necessita aigua, ens ho diu. El missatge, que ve de diferents c\u00e8l\u00b7lules del cos, arriba al cervell i ens informa que s&#8217;ha enc\u00e8s l&#8217;alerta de reserva. El cervell hi indueix la sensaci\u00f3 de set, fet que ens empeny a fer-ne provisi\u00f3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De vegades bevem sense tenir set. Ho fem perqu\u00e8 mengem i l&#8217;aigua facilita la ingesta d&#8217;aliments, perqu\u00e8 \u00e9s la pausa de les onze a la feina i solem prendre un caf\u00e8 o una infusi\u00f3, o b\u00e9 perqu\u00e8 hem sortit a fer un beure amb els amics. La set no \u00e9s l&#8217;\u00fanic mecanisme del cos per aconseguir l&#8217;equilibri de fluids.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Els_ronyons\"><\/span><strong>Els ronyons<\/strong><strong><\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>En els ronyons trobem el recurs m\u00e9s important que t\u00e9 el cos per controlar els nivells d&#8217;aigua. Tant la poden retenir com expulsar-la. Els ronyons estan formats per milions de nefrons, que s\u00f3n les unitats b\u00e0siques i funcionals encarregades de filtrar la sang i retenir-ne les toxines, per eliminar-les acte seguit amb l&#8217;exc\u00e9s d&#8217;aigua per l&#8217;orina. Els ronyons fan servir el sodi, \u00e9s a dir la sal, per fer circular l&#8217;aigua. Com tothom sap, l&#8217;aigua es mou cap a les \u00e0rees amb m\u00e9s concentraci\u00f3, en un proc\u00e9s conegut com a osmosis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Si el cos necessita augmentar el volum d&#8217;aigua, recupera el sodi que ha travessat la membrana, i aix\u00f2 implica una concentraci\u00f3 m\u00e9s alta de la sang. El resultat \u00e9s que l&#8217;aigua tamb\u00e9 es despla\u00e7a cap a la sang. En canvi, si el cos vol perdre aigua, no es val del sodi, cosa que fa cr\u00e9ixer el contingut de sodi a l&#8217;orina i, de retruc, la quantitat d&#8217;aigua expel\u00b7lida.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Quanta_aigua_cal_beure\"><\/span><strong>Quanta aigua cal beure<\/strong><strong><\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Com \u00e9s evident varia d&#8217;un dia per l&#8217;altre i dep\u00e8n de molts factors, entre els quals destaquem:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>L&#8217;edat: la demanda d&#8217;aigua disminueix quan ens fem grans.<\/li><li>El sexe: les dones necessiten una mica menys de volum d&#8217;aigua que els homes.<\/li><li>La composici\u00f3 del cos: el greix cont\u00e9 for\u00e7a menys aigua que els m\u00fasculs, de manera que, a la gent amb m\u00e9s greix corporal, li cal menys aigua, i els qui tenen una massa muscular abundant en necessiten m\u00e9s.<\/li><li>Clima: la calor fa que suem i, per tant, necessitem m\u00e9s aigua.<\/li><li>Intensitat de l&#8217;activitat: un ritme d&#8217;exercici m\u00e9s fort exigeix m\u00e9s aportaci\u00f3 de l\u00edquids.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Prenent en consideraci\u00f3 aquests factors, no \u00e9s f\u00e0cil de dir quina quantitat exacta d&#8217;aigua hem de consumir al dia, i les recomanacions varien de manera substancial:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>L&#8217;Autoritat Europea de Seguretat Aliment\u00e0ria recomanava el 2010 de consumir-ne 2,5 litres diaris als homes i 2 litres a les dones.<\/li><li>El Comit\u00e8 d&#8217;Alimentaci\u00f3 i Nutrici\u00f3 nord-americ\u00e0 (Food and Nutrition Board dels EUA i el Canad\u00e0) donava unes xifres el 2004 de 3,7 litres diaris per als homes i de 2,7 per a les dones.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Es fan molts c\u00e0lculs que prenen com a guia el pes de l&#8217;individu. Per exemple, si parteixes del teu pes en quilos i el divideixes per 30, obtens el nombre de litres que necessites. La llet, els sucs, el te i el caf\u00e8 compten com a l\u00edquids ingerits. Les begudes amb cafe\u00efna et faran anar m\u00e9s sovint al v\u00e0ter, per\u00f2 no et deshidratar\u00e0s pas si en beus, i tamb\u00e9 es poden afegir al total de l\u00edquids consumits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ara b\u00e9, no s\u00f3n tan clars els efectes hidratants o deshidratants de l&#8217;alcohol i, per tant, la ingesta d&#8217;alcohol no s&#8217;hauria d&#8217;incloure al total.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Beus_prou\"><\/span><strong>Beus prou?<\/strong><strong><\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Quan el teu cos no t\u00e9 prou aigua, t&#8217;avisa. Un report de l&#8217;Organitzaci\u00f3 Mundial de la Salut (OMS), de 2004, n&#8217;enumera les conseq\u00fc\u00e8ncies amb tants per cent:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Un 1 % de deshidrataci\u00f3 provoca la set<\/li><li>Un 3 % deixa la boca seca<\/li><li>Un 4 % fa disminuir la capacitat de treball<\/li><li>Un 5 % causa problemes per concentrar-se, mals de cap i somnol\u00e8ncia<\/li><li>Un 7 % pot induir als desmais<\/li><li>Un 10 % de deshidrataci\u00f3 implica risc de mort<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Una deshidrataci\u00f3 lleu pot causar restrenyiment, fa augmentar el risc d&#8217;infeccions a les vies urin\u00e0ries i de c\u00e0lculs (pedres) al rony\u00f3. De moment, encara es fa recerca sobre els efectes que pot tenir en altres sistemes i \u00f2rgans del cos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Simplement si beus aigua quan tens set, mantindr\u00e0s l&#8217;equilibri dels fluids. Tamb\u00e9 et pot orientar controlar el color de l&#8217;orina, que hauria de ser groc p\u00e0l\u00b7lid. Al mat\u00ed \u00e9s m\u00e9s fosca, quan hi ha m\u00e9s concentraci\u00f3 d&#8217;impureses, per\u00f2 un bon got d&#8217;aigua per esmorzar contrarestar\u00e0 que n&#8217;hagis consumit menys durant la nit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Es_pot_beure_massa_aigua\"><\/span><strong>Es pot beure massa aigua?<\/strong><strong><\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Val m\u00e9s repartir-ne les dosis al llarg del dia, i no beure&#8217;n grans quantitats, per exemple, en dues tongades.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Els ronyons poden resistir molt de l\u00edquid, per\u00f2 consumir-ne un exc\u00e9s en un per\u00edode curt pot originar hiperhidrataci\u00f3 i una intoxicaci\u00f3 per aigua. Per exemple, beure&#8217;n quatre litres en 24 hores est\u00e0 b\u00e9, per\u00f2 la mateixa quantitat en dues hores pot ser perillosa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En alguns trastorns de salut el metge podria suggerir de limitar la ingesta de fluids:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Fallida card\u00edaca congestiva<\/li><li>Malaltia renal<\/li><li>Malaltia hep\u00e0tica<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>El problema principal de la hiperhidrataci\u00f3 \u00e9s que afecta els nivells de sodi al cos, i hi altera l&#8217;equilibri de fluids. La hiponatr\u00e8mia \u00e9s una concentraci\u00f3 baixa de sodi i els esports de resist\u00e8ncia, en particular, comporten el risc de patir aquesta alteraci\u00f3. El sodi (o la sal) s&#8217;elimina amb la suor i la p\u00e8rdua \u00e9s significativa quan es practiquen esports de resist\u00e8ncia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Beure aigua en grans quantitats sense recuperar el nivell de sal i altres electr\u00f2lits fa que la sang es dilueixi. Al comen\u00e7ament es tenen rampes, n\u00e0usees i mals de cap, per\u00f2 pot tenir conseq\u00fc\u00e8ncies molt m\u00e9s greus. \u00c9s f\u00e0cil d&#8217;evitar si es beu aigua amb la sal i els electr\u00f2lits apropiats (begudes preparades), o si es menja alguna cosa o es prenen comprimits per a esportistes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"En_resum\"><\/span><strong>En resum<\/strong><strong><\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>El teu cos \u00e9s insuperable a l&#8217;hora de mantenir l&#8217;equilibri de fluids.<\/li><li>Deixa&#8217;t guiar per la sensaci\u00f3 de set.<\/li><li>No cal fer glops de manera constant: beu aigua amb regularitat al llarg del dia.<\/li><li>La quantitat que en necessitar\u00e0s pot variar en funci\u00f3 del clima i de l&#8217;exercici que fas.<\/li><\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dur a la bossa, a la motxilla o a la m\u00e0 mateix una ampolla d&#8217;aigua es considera un fet normal de la quotidianitat, fins i tot els dies que no fa calor. \u00c9s habitual de veure un vianant d&#8217;aturar-se un moment i fer un bon glop d&#8217;aigua.
