S\u00f3n molts els qui es troben en aquesta situaci\u00f3, tant de la banda dels culpables com de les v\u00edctimes. Fins a un 45 % de la poblaci\u00f3 a Espanya reconeix que ronca habitualment, i un 30 % de manera ocasional. En conseq\u00fc\u00e8ncia, hi ha molta gent que dorm malament.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ara b\u00e9, roncar no \u00e9s \u00fanicament un problema per a la parella, que es pot veure obligada a traslladar-se a una altra habitaci\u00f3 per dormir. Al marge de posar a prova fins i tot la relaci\u00f3 de parella, els roncs causats per apnees obstructives del son poden tenir conseq\u00fc\u00e8ncies greus per al qui ronca.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Que_es_el_ronc\"><\/span><strong>Qu\u00e8 \u00e9s el ronc<\/strong><strong><\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Aix\u00f2 que anomenem ronc \u00e9s la vibraci\u00f3 de les estructures de teixit tou que es localitzen a les vies a\u00e8ries superiors: el paladar tou (la part posterior del paladar), l&#8217;\u00favula, la base de la llengua i la rinofaringe, i habitualment es produeix quan inspirem aire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Quan estem desperts, tenim prou to muscular per mantenir oberta la v\u00eda a\u00e8ria; per\u00f2 quan dormim, la llengua, la gola i el sostre de la boca (el paladar) es relaxen del tot, i aix\u00f2 fa que el teixit fluix de la gola s&#8217;enfonsi, i n&#8217;estrenyi la via. Si aquest espai es redueix en exc\u00e9s, s&#8217;obstrueix el pas de l&#8217;aire i el teixit vibra; aleshores es produeixen els roncs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Causes_habituals\"><\/span><strong>Causes habituals<\/strong><strong><\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Les raons que fan que algunes persones ronquin s\u00f3n nombroses i variades. Roncar forma part de la s\u00edndrome dels trastorns respiratoris que afecten el son, i engloben del simple ronc a la s\u00edndrome de les apnees obstructives durant el son (SAOS).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>No tots els roncs s\u00f3n iguals: n&#8217;hi ha que ressonen com els trens de mercaderies entrant dins un t\u00fanel, com els trepants pneum\u00e0tics o b\u00e9 com les foques ferides, per esmentar nom\u00e9s tres sorolls equivalents! A banda d&#8217;aix\u00f2, les raons per roncar s\u00f3n diverses, d\u00e8iem abans. I encara ens balla la pregunta de per qu\u00e8 n&#8217;hi ha que ronquen i d&#8217;altres que no.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L&#8217;exc\u00e9s de pes (\u00e9s a dir estar gras) n&#8217;\u00e9s una de les raons principals, per\u00f2 hi pot influir una combinaci\u00f3 de factors com ara:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>L&#8217;exc\u00e9s de pes, fumar i beure alcohol s\u00f3n tres factors molt decisius.<\/li><li>Una via a\u00e8ria alterada o una desviaci\u00f3 del septe nasal predisposen a roncar.<\/li><li>El nas tapat.<\/li><li>La congesti\u00f3 nasal a causa d&#8217;al\u00b7l\u00e8rgies o p\u00f2lips.<\/li><li>La mida de les am\u00edgdales.<\/li><li>Tenir la mand\u00edbula petita, perqu\u00e8 esclafa la llengua i fa que tingui tend\u00e8ncia a anar enrere mentre dormim.<\/li><li>Tenir oclusi\u00f3 encreuada.<\/li><li>Tenir l&#8217;\u00favula (popularment la campaneta, o el penjoll que tenim a la gola) m\u00e9s llarga que la mitjana.<\/li><li>Altres raons que podr\u00edem adduir: l&#8217;edat, l&#8217;estretor de les vies a\u00e8ries, una anatomia craniofacial alterada o certs medicaments per dormir.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Quan_cal_prendre_seriosament_els_roncs\"><\/span><strong>Quan cal prendre seriosament els roncs<\/strong><strong><\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Roncar s&#8217;associa sovint a certs trastorns de salut; per tant, si els teus roncs desperten sistem\u00e0ticament la parella, hi hauries de prendre part.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Molts roncadors pensen que dormen b\u00e9, per\u00f2 el fet \u00e9s que roncar altera el son, el fragmenta, i al mat\u00ed potser no es troben prou frescos, tenen mal de cap, cansament i, de retruc, problemes amb la parella.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Roncar de maner persistent pot induir a tenir apnees obstructives, que s\u00f3n dif\u00edcils de tractar i que comporten diversos riscos per a la salut. Els qui pateixen apnees obstructives poden experimentar fatiga durant el dia, mals de cap, p\u00e8rdues de la mem\u00f2ria immediata i fins i tot depressi\u00f3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Poden incloure altres riscos, molt importants, com ara l&#8217;augment de la pressi\u00f3 sangu\u00ednia (hipertensi\u00f3), la diabetis de tipus 2, un colesterol elevat, la s\u00edndrome metab\u00f2lica i m\u00e9s probabilitat de patir una malaltia cardiovascular. Aix\u00ed doncs, val la pena de mirar de resoldre el problema.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hi ha un q\u00fcestionari, el test de Thorton (es pot trobar f\u00e0cilment a Internet), que situa en una escala de gravetat el problema. Si et sobren uns quants quilos, fumes o beus alcohol, roncar actua com una targeta vermella; per tant, caldria que tinguessis una mica de cura de la teva salut. Aprima&#8217;t, redueix el consum d&#8217;alcohol i deixa de fumar: tens moltes probabilitats de no roncar m\u00e9s. Si prens medicaments per dormir, redueix-ne el consum\u2014de fet, potser fins i tot no els necessitar\u00e0s m\u00e9s\u2014, perqu\u00e8 causen depressi\u00f3 respirat\u00f2ria i fan augmentar el volum i la intensitat dels roncs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Canviar_de_posicio_per_dormir\"><\/span><strong>Canviar de posici\u00f3 per dormir<\/strong><strong><\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Si dorms de cara enlaire, probablement roncar\u00e0s m\u00e9s. Procura de dormir de costat. Si et regires al llit (i la parella est\u00e0 tipa d&#8217;emp\u00e8nyer-te perqu\u00e8 tornis a la teva banda), mira de posar-te una samarreta antironcs (cerca-la a Internet). Es tracta, b\u00e0sicament, d&#8217;una samarreta amb una coix\u00ed inflable a la part de l&#8217;esquena que evita que donis voltes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Adquirir_un_coixi_antironcs\"><\/span><strong>Adquirir un coix\u00ed antironcs<\/strong><strong><\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>No hi ha gaire suport cient\u00edfic per demostrar l&#8217;efic\u00e0cia d&#8217;aquests coixins, per\u00f2 si ronques una mica et pot fer servei. T\u00e9 un sistema que detecta quan ronques pels canvis en la respiraci\u00f3. Aleshores s&#8217;infla autom\u00e0ticament el punt en qu\u00e8 recolzes el cap i et fa canviar de posici\u00f3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Fer_servir_una_ferula_davancament_mandibular\"><\/span><strong>Fer servir una f\u00e8rula d&#8217;avan\u00e7ament mandibular<\/strong><strong><\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Si mentre dorms tendeixes a tirar la llengua enrere, podria passar que s&#8217;obstru\u00eds la via de l&#8217;aire, de manera que l&#8217;aire faria vibrar les parts toves. La f\u00e8rula, que s&#8217;ha de dur a la nit, fa avan\u00e7ar lleugerament la mand\u00edbula inferior, cosa que empeny una mica la llengua enfora i evita el tancament de la via causant dels roncs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Es pot fer servir el dispositiu en casos de roncs simples, i tamb\u00e9 per a apnees moderades o fins i tot mitjanes. S&#8217;aconsegueixen m\u00e9s bons resultats si fixa l&#8217;aparell un dentista.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Provar_un_dilatador_nasal_intern_o_les_tires_nasals\"><\/span><strong>Provar un dilatador nasal intern, o les tires nasals<\/strong><strong><\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Hi ha persones a qui se&#8217;ls solen tancar les fosses nasals quan respiren pel nas. Pots esbrinar si el teu cas amb aquesta simple prova:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Mira&#8217;t al mirall i relaxa&#8217;t.<\/li><li>Inhala aire r\u00e0pidament amb la boca tancada.<\/li><li>Si es tanquen les fosses nasals, el dilatador intern t&#8217;hi pot ajudar.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>El dilatador intern \u00e9s una petita pe\u00e7a de pl\u00e0stic el\u00e0stica que mant\u00e9 obertes les fosses nasals i facilita la respiraci\u00f3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Si la idea de tenir una cosa dins del nas no t&#8217;atreu, una possible alternativa s\u00f3n les tires nasals. Poden funcionar en casos de roncs que no s\u00f3n gaire intensos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Allergies_nasals_Polips\"><\/span><strong>Al\u00b7l\u00e8rgies nasals? P\u00f2lips?<\/strong><strong><\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Tal com hem dit, tots dos trastorns poden causar els roncs. Si \u00e9s un problema d&#8217;al\u00b7l\u00e8rgia, es pot tractar amb una combinaci\u00f3 d&#8217;esteroides t\u00f2pics nasals i un antihistam\u00ednic (parla&#8217;n amb el farmac\u00e8utic o amb el metge de fam\u00edlia).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Si el problema s\u00f3n els p\u00f2lips nasals, cal que ho consultis al metge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Anar_a_una_Unitat_del_Son\"><\/span><strong>Anar a una Unitat del Son<\/strong><strong><\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Si tens apnees moderades o intenses, i si no hi ha res que h\u00e0gim esmentat que t&#8217;hagi resolt el problema, ves al metge de fam\u00edlia, perqu\u00e8 et derivi a una Unitat del Son. Despr\u00e9s de fer-ne l&#8217;estudi pertinent, decidiran si la soluci\u00f3 pot ser una m\u00e0scara CPAP (les sigles de Pressi\u00f3 Positiva Cont\u00ednua en les Vies Respirat\u00f2ries, en angl\u00e8s), amb validesa avalada per diversos estudis cl\u00ednics a l&#8217;hora de reduir la somnol\u00e8ncia di\u00fcrna i millorar la qualitat de vida, l&#8217;humor i la l&#8217;assist\u00e8ncia a la feina.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les CPAP s\u00f3n unes m\u00e0scares que es porten mentre dormim, nom\u00e9s al nas, o tant al nas com a la boca. Insuflen aire de manera continuada i detecten les apnees (\u00e9s a dir, les pauses en la respiraci\u00f3), que solucionen augmentant el flux d&#8217;aire. S\u00f3n molt silencioses (i, no cal dir-ho, molt m\u00e9s silencioses que no pas els teus roncs) i val la pena de provar-les, perqu\u00e8, encara que al comen\u00e7ament siguin inc\u00f2modes (n&#8217;hi ha de moltes menes), generalment donen bons resultats. Ara b\u00e9, cal que sigui un especialista el qui la col\u00b7loqui, per tant \u00e9s obligatori que et visiti el metge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Cirurgia_contra_els_roncs\"><\/span><strong>Cirurgia contra els roncs<\/strong><strong><\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Hi ha una soluci\u00f3 quir\u00fargica contra els roncs, per\u00f2 \u00e9s d&#8217;aplicaci\u00f3 limitada. Nom\u00e9s s&#8217;ha de practicar en casos d&#8217;anomalies estructurals a les vies a\u00e8ries: les am\u00edgdales, l&#8217;\u00favula, el paladar tou, les adenoides (rarament en els adults) i altres alteracions. Cl\u00ednicament es coneix com a uvulopalatofaringopl\u00e0stia, i consisteix a eixamplar la mida de les vies a\u00e8ries superiors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Es pot aplicar en un percentatge m\u00ednim dels qui ronquen i pot esdevenir in\u00fatil a llarg termini.
