Encara que moltes persones no se la poden permetre en el seu dia a dia per les seves obligacions laborals, \u00e9s una activitat d&#8217;all\u00f2 m\u00e9s saludable: una migdiada de 30 minuts despr\u00e9s del dinar, a m\u00e9s d&#8217;ajudar-nos a recuperar el son perdut i a seguir amb el ritme de la rutina di\u00e0ria, ens proporciona nombrosos beneficis f\u00edsics i mentals. Aix\u00ed que aprofita els dies de vacances i els caps de setmana i apunta&#8217;t a una bona migdiada. Entre altres coses, el cor t&#8217;ho agrair\u00e0.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>La paraula &#8216;migdiada&#8217; ve de l&#8217;hora&nbsp;<em>sisena<\/em>&nbsp;romana, referida a la sisena hora solar, que correspon a les 12 del migdia respecte al sol (aproximadament a les 14 h al nostre fus horari), moment en el qual es feia una pausa de les tasques quotidianes per descansar i reposar forces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Aquest costum tamb\u00e9 s&#8217;origina com a conseq\u00fc\u00e8ncia natural del&nbsp;<strong>descens de la sang, despr\u00e9s del dinar, des del sistema nervi\u00f3s fins al sistema digestiu<\/strong>, cosa que provoca una sensaci\u00f3 de&nbsp;<strong>somnol\u00e8ncia<\/strong>. A l&#8217;estiu, a causa de la calor, aquesta sensaci\u00f3 \u00e9s encara m\u00e9s acusada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tot i que popularment pot semblar el contrari,&nbsp;<strong>a Espanya poc m\u00e9s del 16% de la poblaci\u00f3 practica la migdiada<\/strong>. El ritme de vida dels \u00faltims anys ens ha fet perdre al voltant de 2 hores di\u00e0ries de son, cosa que pot tenir conseq\u00fc\u00e8ncies en la nostra salut. I \u00e9s que, segons la ci\u00e8ncia,&nbsp;<strong>dormir 30 minuts de migdiada despr\u00e9s de dinar ens aporta nombrosos beneficis saludables<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Beneficis_de_la_migdiada_per_a_la_salut_cardiovascular\"><\/span>Beneficis de la migdiada per a la salut cardiovascular<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>1. Prev\u00e9 les malalties del cor:<\/strong>&nbsp;no dormir les hores necess\u00e0ries augmenta la producci\u00f3 de cortisol, l&#8217;hormona de l&#8217;estr\u00e8s. Aquesta hormona, produ\u00efda en exc\u00e9s, augmenta la intoler\u00e0ncia al greix i a la glucosa, i debilita el sistema immunol\u00f2gic i el muscular, cosa que pot afavorir l&#8217;aparici\u00f3 de diabetis i cardiopaties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>D&#8217;altra banda, mentre es dorm s&#8217;allibera l&#8217;hormona del creixement (GH), que&nbsp;<strong>disminueix els nivells de cortisol<\/strong>&nbsp;i estimula el sistema immunol\u00f2gic,&nbsp;<strong>redueix l&#8217;estr\u00e8s<\/strong>, millora el sistema muscular i&nbsp;<strong>facilita la p\u00e8rdua de pes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>2. Disminueix la tensi\u00f3 arterial<\/strong>: els estudis han demostrat que dormir entre 45 minuts i una hora redueix la&nbsp;pressi\u00f3 arterial&nbsp;i el ritme card\u00edac. Estimula el creixement:<\/strong>&nbsp;<strong>en dormir, el cervell allibera l&#8217;hormona del creixement<\/strong>. Per tant, la migdiada hauria de ser imprescindible durant la inf\u00e0ncia i l&#8217;adolesc\u00e8ncia, ja que el desenvolupament dep\u00e8n en gran mesura de la quantitat d&#8217;hores que es dormen. En els nadons \u00e9s m\u00e9s f\u00e0cil, ja que fins als tres anys dormen entre 12 i 16 hores. Els adolescents fins als divuit anys, han de dormir entre 8 i 9 hores, per la qual cosa \u00e9s molt recomanable completar aquestes hores de son necess\u00e0ries amb una bona migdiada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>4. Pot\u00e8ncia l&#8217;aprenentatge i ens fa m\u00e9s productius<\/strong>: el son ajuda a fixar els coneixements adquirits i ens predisposa a aprendre\u2019n de nous. Els records recents, que s&#8217;emmagatzemen en l&#8217;hipocamp, es transfereixen al neoc\u00f2rtex, on passen a ser records a llarg termini. D&#8217;aquesta manera, augmenta en un 10% la capacitat d&#8217;aprenentatge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La pausa que es realitza en el cervell quan fem la migdiada&nbsp;<strong>aclareix la ment i augmenta la concentraci\u00f3<\/strong>, per la qual cosa es rendeix m\u00e9s en la jornada de la tarda. 15 minuts de son despr\u00e9s de dinar, o a la nit a meitat d&#8217;un torn nocturn, permet seguir despr\u00e9s a ple rendiment. Si la migdiada \u00e9s m\u00e9s llarga i s&#8217;arriba a la fase REM, millora la capacitat de realitzar connexions neuronals, de manera que s&#8217;afavoreix tamb\u00e9 la capacitat de resoldre problemes i l&#8217;aprenentatge abstracte.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>5. Afavoreix la creativitat<\/strong>: els estudis cient\u00edfics determinen que fer la migdiada&nbsp;<strong>estimula l&#8217;activitat de l&#8217;hemisferi dret<\/strong>&nbsp;del cervell, associat a la creativitat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>6. Millora els reflexos:<\/strong>&nbsp;un estudi de la NASA va mesurar els efectes de la migdiada en els pilots que realitzaven vols transoce\u00e0nics, de llarga durada. Va comprovar que aproximadament 25 minuts de migdiada fan disminuir en un 34% el nombre habitual de microsons (entre tres i deu segons) durant el vol i&nbsp;<strong>millora la capacitat de reacci\u00f3<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>7. Millora l&#8217;estat d&#8217;\u00e0nim<\/strong>: dormir fa que el nostre cervell produeixi serotonina, un neurotransmissor que t\u00e9 la funci\u00f3 de regular la son, la gana i l&#8217;estat d&#8217;\u00e0nim i que ens proporciona sensaci\u00f3 de benestar. Si es pateixen problemes digestius \u00e9s millor dormir en una butaca que al llit, per evitar el reflux g\u00e0stric. D&#8217;altra banda, com que els ritmes circadians cauen entre les tres i les cinc de la tarda, \u00e9s recomanable fer la migdiada&nbsp;<strong>just despr\u00e9s de dinar<\/strong>, aprofitant la sensaci\u00f3 de somnol\u00e8ncia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Una migdiada en condicions normals&nbsp;<strong>no ha de durar m\u00e9s de 30 minuts<\/strong>, encara que alguns dies es poden necessitar descansos m\u00e9s llargs.
